Contractual Application: Ceramics Instructor

Our Ceramics Instructors guide students through the creative process using clay. Responsibilities include teaching weekly daytime classes on Thursdays and Fridays, conducting one-time workshops on Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and offering private or semi-private lessons throughout the week.

In addition to teaching, duties may involve mixing glazes, glazing your one time class pieces and general studio upkeep. Ceramics Instructors are expected to provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism with students and customers at all times.

We seek candidates who closely match the following criteria:

• Proficient in ceramic techniques, including wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing, and surface decoration

• Experienced and interested in teaching various ages and skill levels

• Enjoy being part of a community setting

• Organized and efficient in completing tasks

• Willing to work in a hands-on, messy environment

• Comfortable standing for extended periods (3+ hours)
